Beautiful train, and nice perspective. I'm surprised your camera (and you) survived being run over though!

When I first saw it, I immediately thought of the Hogwarts Express...

If you love steam trains, then you must be a fan of Thomas the tank engine, right? This so reminds me of that. Fond memories of my son's younger days. He was mad about trains.

I certainly was when I was younger. Also there was a Welsh one called Ivor The Engine :) If you love trains as a kid it never leaves you :)

Yes, well, I even wrote a children's book about it, so hopefully on day he'll look back upon it all with nostalgic pleasure! I never heard of Ivor the Engine.

Ivor the Engine was a cheap animation with a steam engine. The driver was called Jones The Steam and the station master was called Dai Station. Probably not the best thing you would ever see. Not a patch on Thomas.
You wrote a book about it? Was it published?

Thank for the info. Yes, the book was published here in Switzerland, but never distributed too far. Have loads of copies left, I've just never been able to find the time to market it properly. It's an illustrated paperback and I learned a lot from the project. Would definitely do it differently next time. I even have the French translation prepared for a bi-lingual version but just haven't had time (and funds) to pursue it further.
