The calm before the puncture by LordLJCornellPhotos The calm before the puncture by LordLJCornellPhotos
After taking this discovered we had a flat tyre. No spare with my car. Six miles slow drive back to nearest village. Temporary repair. A day to find a new tyre. Worth it though for this picture. This is in Upper Coquetdale in the Cheviot Hills in Northumberland.

I'm glad you say it was worth it! (I would have thought so too! I especially admire the glow on the hill on the left hand side.)

hhehehehehee
my car doesn't have a spare. you just get a bottle of rubber solution that you empty into the flat tyre in the hope that it seals the puncture long enough to get back to a garage. I have had to do this about three times now and it works ok suprisingly enough. I have now bought a spare tyre (I don't mean the one around my middle) that I keep in the boot for emergencies. No spare wheel though. That's just how Toyota do it these days :)

Defiantly worth all the trouble.  You always seem to find the most beautiful atmospheric spots.

With my luck, I would learn the spare would also be flat, when needed.......;) (Wink)

my car actually doesn't have a spare. you just have a can of rubber goo to squirt into the puntured tyre. not very satisfactory really. still, it didn't matter in the end. :)
