These machines live and breathe by LordLJCornellPhotos These machines live and breathe by LordLJCornellPhotos
This is the Jacobite steam train that runs from Fort William to Mallaig in the Scottish Highlands. It is the train used in the Harry Potter films as the Hogwarts Express. This is one of the most beautiful train journeys in the world and if you ever get the chance to ride on it (as I did) I would take it with both hands.

Hehe, LEGO is fun, but I guess I prefer the larger DUPLO version (maybe that´s just because we have more "universal" stones from DUPLO. From LEGO, we only have sets liek the Howarts Express, a castle, a pirate ship and so on, but very few stones where you can build whatever you want. From Harry Potter, I also have the Hogwarts Castle and the Durmstrang ship from the 4th part.) From DUPLO, we have tons of stones. When we were younger, we always built an ark and put all of our animals in it :D It was never the same with LEGO... (but it´s still pretty cool :D )

I never had DUPLO. It was either LEGO or MECCANO.
Lego was my favourite. Meccano was a more mechanical type of toy with more engineering involved.
I loved building things with Lego.
It is so great that you have the Hogwarts Castle and Hogwarts Express and you still have others too.
 I love that you have kept them
You are so lovely Miri. I could give you such a big hug sometimes

It was kind of made of metal bits with bolts and you could buy motors and wheels and all kinds of things.

Part of it looks simillar to LEGO technic, part of it looks different. LEgo technic is like "normal" lego, just with gears and rubberbands and stuff that makes it move and so on :)

The view certainly is spectacular. If you cannot afford to travel on the steam train then ordinary trains also run along the route. You get the same view but without the soot in your eyes. :D
