This is Lindisfarne Castle on Holy Island which is just off the Northumberland coast in North East England. The island is connected to the main land by a road/causeway but this is only open at low tide. At high tide it floods and Lindisfarne is an island again.

The high tide stoped us to visit Lindisfarne.
well you can find the tide times at Lindisfarne if you type holy island crossing times into Google. That will take you to the right place. Yiu just need to check the date you will be there. It will tell you when it is safe to cross onto and off the island.
Enjoy your time in Edinburgh even if you can't get to Lindisfarne this time
If I could decide where I want to live, I would choose Edinburgh.
