Nourishing the land by LordLJCornellPhotos Nourishing the land by LordLJCornellPhotos
The view from Glen Sligachan bridge on the Isle Of Skye. The rains gave life to the river and the clouds smothered the mountains.

Ahhhh...this must be it! Wow...such a difference. I love this, but seeing the rocks made a big difference. Thank you for pointing me to this.

I like this Lawrence :). It shows strength and the weather, again, amazing in the BG.
I would had loved to see this in a slow shutter mode.
I think that it is just me but every time I see moving water, that's how I imagine the picture in my head.
Regardless, the flow is hypnotizing either way.

Thank you dear Yadi
I did take a long exposure of this but it really took away the power of the water.
My own preference for this picture was with the turbulent water frozen in time.
I'll see whether I kept the other files so I can send it to you in STASH
The weather was full on that day :)

 I see what you mean about the power. The strenght is the attention getter.
You did a long exposure!? I knew it.
Speaking of full... there's rain here right now, weather is weird today.

Thank you Dasha :)
The water was flowing very fast. There are lots of rocks in the river bed which disturbs the flow of it.
I try to go to Skye every year at least once.
I think I didn't go in 2013 but I went twice in the following year as I missed it so much :)

The forcefulness of the river fits in very well with the weather. The combination gives the scene a slightly menacing mood. :)

Btw. is it just me or does it look like the river is flowing uphill? :o

It was certainly menacing weather.
It must be an optical illusion. The water was flowing very fast towards me.
I was standing on the old bridge.
On a clear day you have a great view of the mountains from this spot.

Alright, thought so but it kinda looks like it. It's probably rocks creating "backwards waves".

And yeah, I can imagine, this must be a gorgeous place. However, this type of wheather does it justice as well.

Yes, the river bed is covered with rocks. They disturb the flow of the water.
Pit would have been nice to have had a couple of sunny days but in truth I prefer Skye under cloud looking moody :)
