Thar she blows by LordLJCornellPhotos Thar she blows by LordLJCornellPhotos
The name of this geyser is Strokkur which is found at Geysir in the Golden Circle on Iceland. It erupts every few minutes and smells of sulphur. You don't want to be down wind of it or you will get very wet.

Yeah when I was there, there were lots of people too, and it was September. But there were also quieter moments. :)
I loved watching the geysir, it's a lot of fun. and the smell too :D

July was very busy in some places like Geysir, Gulfoss and Vik.
next time I go it will be in a September or October or maybe a November.
I hope it will be next year but it may have to be the year after as I have an expensive trip to Italy next May.
The Geysir was very impressive :)

September and October is definitely a good time to go. the weather is still manageable and there are fewer people and you see lots of northern lights. :aww: i also know people who go in November.

Thanks. I took quite a few shits as you can imagine. There were so many people there but July is peak season and I was there too so I can't complain. I'll go back at a quieter time of year I think. It probably looks better on a sunny day too which is not what I would usually say ;)

I wish I was still there :)

Oh definitely.
I want to drive round the whole island. They say to allow 14 days to do it at a reasonable pace so you can visit a lot of places and do glacier trips etc.
Ill be planning to fit that into my life as soon as I can :)
