The fisherman's shed by LordLJCornellPhotos The fisherman's shed by LordLJCornellPhotos
Remember the upturned boats on Lindisfarne I posted? Well this is from the other end of one of the boats so you can see how the fishermen transform them into storage sheds. In the background is Lindisfarne Castle. This is on the island of Lindisfarne (also known as Holy Island) which is off the North East coast of Engalnd in the county of Northumberland.

That is a very creative fisherman, Lawrence. And something I didn't expect to see at the first capture of the boats. ;)

Thank you Gabi.
Well, if you look at my gallery you will see that I don't usually frame my pictures.
I deliberately framed this one to take the scene out of context and contain it where as with my landscapes I like to let them breath so there is no frame.
Im sorry if you didn't like it this time.
Maybe next time :)

Have a lovely day Gabi :)

I wonder if anyone's ever had a go at turning one of those hulls into a little holiday hut.  You'd either need to dig down underneath or lift it up off the ground a tad so people wouldn't be stooping, but it might be possible.

They would need power and a lot of insulation too.

Cool documentary image and backstory
Maybe one day you could do a photo essay in "a day in the life" format on one of these fisherman.

Either there or the pub but at the pub they're fishing for a different sort of swimmer

Preferred the other shot Lawrence - this end is a bot of a mess, which is a shame as the view from the other end is so perfect...

I just wanted to show that they are actually in use and how they have converted them. They are working buildings and fishermen are not very tidy.
