

This is Helmsley Castle in North Yorkshire. The first castle here was built from wood around 1120 and was then changed to stone some fifty years later. I am calling this a landscape because I have treated it as such. The old buildings are returning to nature slowly. The town of Helmsely falls within the North York Moors National Park in northern England.

or are you able to climb the castle walls, or are the stones too fragile for climbing...
I am a climber and would love to scale the wall.....LOL
Anyway, this is a truly excellent photo,,,,those colors of grass and stonework are beautiful
